Disney reported today that the streaming service had 26.5 million paying subscribers as of December 28, 2019, and a total of 28.6 million as of February 3. "The launch of Disney+ has been enormously successful, exceeding even our greatest expectations," Disney CEO Bob Iger said on the company's earnings call, according to The Hollywood Reporter . Analysts anticipated subscribers to reach up to 25 million for the period, so the numbers are ahead of expectations. Disney+ costs $7-per-month in the United States, which is below the monthly cost of a Netflix subscription. The average revenue per Disney+ subscriber for the period was $5.56. Capcom announced its latest financial results , and it turns out both Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and Resident Evil 2 are moving big numbers for the company. Calling Iceborne a flagship title, Capcom revealed it has sold 4.5 million units, including the recently launched PC version, as of January 28, 2020. Monster Hunter World has reached total lifetime sales of 15 million as of January 2. Resident Evil 2 was no slouch, moving 5 million units so far. Similarly, sales of games declined year-on-year, dropping from 87.2 million units from 2018 to 81.1 million units in 2019.
