Here's How Much Money Frozen 2 Is Expected To Make In Its First Weekend

Disney's next big animated movie, Frozen II, is predictably expected to be a huge hit at the box office. But just how much money is the film expected to pull in?

Variety has early box office tracking estimates. They suggest the movie will make more than $100 million for its opening weekend, which would make it the biggest opening weekend haul for a Walt Disney Animation movie ever--Pixar movies are counted separately. Zootopia is the current leader at $75.1 million.

By comparison, the 2013 original Frozen made $67.4 million over its first weekend, and a total of $93.6 million for the five-day Thanskgiving period. Frozen wrapped up its run in theatres with a massive $1.3 billion globally. That continues to be the biggest total box office result for an animated movie all time.

Frozen II stands to be a massive success due in part to pent up demand. After all, it's been six years since the first movie came out and made "Let It Go" and "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" some of the most popular and ubiquitous songs on Earth.

Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel return in Frozen II to voice the sisters Anna and Elsa. Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and Olaf (Josh Gad) return as well, alongside new characters. The directors of the original movie, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, have also returned for the sequel, as have Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who wrote the music.

Frozen 2 hits theatres on November 22.

MediEvil Review - Bones 'n Brawn

As a remaster of the 1998 puzzle-platformer of the same name, MediEvil holds up reasonably well. Its cartoonishly charming characters and varied, if relatively simplistic, level design both stands the test of time and looks better than ever thanks to a complete graphical overhaul. But as much as MediEvil can feel like a warm blanket of nostalgia--especially for those of us who played the game 21 years ago--it also feels incredibly dated, with jittery controls and camera issues that regularly get in the way of progress. You play as Sir Daniel Fortesque, a dead knight who is returned to life when the sorcerer Zarok makes an unexpected return to Gallowmere, bringing with him hordes of monsters. Fortesque remains every bit as charming a character as he was; his gnarled teeth, warbly voice, and single, rolling eyeball lose none of their charisma in the remastering process. Zarok's design hasn't aged well, though, and the new visuals leave him looking like a plastic doll who’s been
