Onward's New Trailer Is A Magical Pixar Road-Trip

Pixar has been focusing on sequels for the past few years, with movies such as Finding Dory, Cars 3, The Incredibles 2, and Toy Story 4 delivering familiar characters and stories. But the studio gets back to original films in 2020, with two new movies hitting theaters. First up is the fantasy comedy Onward, and a new trailer has been released.

This promo was made for the UK release and provides lots of footage not see in October's first first trailer. It recaps the basic plot, in which two Elf brothers set out on a quest to restore their dead dad after a bungled spell only returns his legs. It's a road movie, with voices from Marvel stars Tom Holland and Chris Pratt, and it looks like the expected Pixar mix of action, laughs, and tear-jerking family drama. Watch the trailer below.

Onward's cast also includes Julia Louis-Dreyfuss (Veep) and Octavia Spencer (Ma), and it's directed by Dan Scanlon, who previously helmed Monster's University for the studio. It releases on March 6, 2020.

The other Pixar movie due next year is titled Soul, which arrives in June. Soul stars Jamie Foxx as a teacher who finds himself in an alternate dimension where people's souls are developed and trained. The first Soul trailer was released earlier this month.

All of Pixar's previous movies are now available to watch on Disney+, which launched two weeks ago. For more, check out GameSpot's guide to every classic animated Disney movie available on the service.

MediEvil Review - Bones 'n Brawn

As a remaster of the 1998 puzzle-platformer of the same name, MediEvil holds up reasonably well. Its cartoonishly charming characters and varied, if relatively simplistic, level design both stands the test of time and looks better than ever thanks to a complete graphical overhaul. But as much as MediEvil can feel like a warm blanket of nostalgia--especially for those of us who played the game 21 years ago--it also feels incredibly dated, with jittery controls and camera issues that regularly get in the way of progress. You play as Sir Daniel Fortesque, a dead knight who is returned to life when the sorcerer Zarok makes an unexpected return to Gallowmere, bringing with him hordes of monsters. Fortesque remains every bit as charming a character as he was; his gnarled teeth, warbly voice, and single, rolling eyeball lose none of their charisma in the remastering process. Zarok's design hasn't aged well, though, and the new visuals leave him looking like a plastic doll who’s been...
