Xbox One's Best Black Friday 2019 Game Deals: Gears 5, Call Of Duty Modern Warfare, And More

Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2019 deals have technically arrived early. With these sales come another hectic round of shopping around for the best Xbox One deals. Microsoft's console has seen some excellent games this year, and if you've had your eye on a particular game now's the time to strike, since you probably won't see a better deal for most of them this year.

Already a large number of Xbox One games have been marked down, and with retailers having released their ads so early the year, we already have a good idea which games will be on sale--and many deals are already live, letting you get your shopping out of the way now. We've already seen recent releases like Need For Speed Heat ($30) and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (as low as $38) get Black Friday price cuts, as well as some minor, limited discounts on Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order and Shenmue III. According to early Black Friday ads, some games released at the beginning of 2019 will be available for sub-$20 prices (their lowest yet), including Resident Evil 2, The Division 2, and Kingdom Hearts III.

After initially being limited to Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members, everyone now has access to Xbox Live's digital games sale. While not always as cheap as the physical versions you'll find during Black Friday, those looking for downloadable games have a ton of options, including the full Assassin's Creed series, Sekiro, and more.

In the meantime, we've rounded up the best Xbox One game deals confirmed for Black Friday below, and this story will be updated regularly as we spot more discounts. While specific start times will vary by retailer, many of these game discounts will be live starting Thanksgiving Day. MediEvil Review - Bones 'n Brawn

As a remaster of the 1998 puzzle-platformer of the same name, MediEvil holds up reasonably well. Its cartoonishly charming characters and varied, if relatively simplistic, level design both stands the test of time and looks better than ever thanks to a complete graphical overhaul. But as much as MediEvil can feel like a warm blanket of nostalgia--especially for those of us who played the game 21 years ago--it also feels incredibly dated, with jittery controls and camera issues that regularly get in the way of progress. Zarok's design hasn't aged well, though, and the new visuals leave him looking like a plastic doll who’s been

After Pitching Dragon Age Musical DLC, David Gaider Is Finally Getting To Make His Musical Game

Dragon Age lead franchise writer David Gaider is making a new and intriguing-looking musical adventure game Chorus . As it turns out, the veteran game developer--who left BioWare years ago--has been thinking about making a musical game for a long time. In an appearance at the GameSpot Theatre today at PAX Aus about his new game and studio, Gaider said he in fact pitched musical DLC for Dragon Age during his time at BioWare. The musical Dragon Age DLC could have taken place inside the metaphysical Dragon Age realm called The Fade, he said. It was a semi-serious, semi-joking pitch, Gaider said, but whatever the case, it never happened. Gaider is now getting to realize that dream. His new game, Chorus, is a musical adventure game where they big story beats play out through song. Gaider is working on Chorus with Summerfall managing director Liam Esler (former Obsidian, Beamdog developer), while prolific voice actress Laura Bailey (Uncharted, Gears of War) is voicing the main character.
